Credenda-Ship of 250 Irish women

My ggmother came over from Ireland, as a 20 year old lass, in the hope of a new Aussie life.

GEELONG.-Arrivals : November 1. Credenda, from Southampton, 343 Government emigrants ;

The emigrant ship Credenda, from Southampton made a favourable passage to this port in 84 days. Her passengers speak highly of the good usage and kindness of both the surgeon and the captain towards them during the voyage. The greater part of the passengers are Irish aud a few English. There are :-250 single females, 22 young men, and 40 married couples, all looking well aud healthy.-
